The Massacre at Yellow Hill Wins 2018 PenCraft Award

Posted on October 17, 2018October 17, 2018 by CS Humble

I am really happy today to announce that my novel THE MASSACRE AT YELLOW HILL has won the 2018 PenCraft Award for Literary Excellence in Supernatural Fiction. I’d like to openly thank Rob Bass and Brad Ellison, to whom the book is dedicated. Rob, especially for his hard work in editing the book. Thanks to Laird Barron for providing a gracious blurb.

I’d also like to thank AuthorsReading.com for submitting the book to the award and Black Rose Writing for publishing the book back in March.

For those who have supported me over the course of my career, thank you so very much. Your belief in me and the stories I write has helped get me this far. I intend to continue working only harder toward my ultimate goal of telling stories that matter to you, dear readers. There are many, many more stories to come.

My appreciation also goes out to Murder by the Book and Malvern Books for graciously hosting my first signing and my Austin novel debut, respectively.

Thank you again for all your support.

The Massacre at Yellow Hill is a rollicking and bloody take on the Old West through a Robert E. Howard-style zoetrope. Humble flexes pulp literary muscle in his gritty action sequences and evocative descriptions of a harsh,  sinister shadow world.
